Able to have app running in bckgrnd for when u need it fast

My daughter sometimes suddenly has an interest in the keyboard and it's tough fumblng around to start it up b4 she closes my browser, shoots 50 emails, and deletes my Windows directory. Maybe put an option to have app launched at startup, so that when u enter a keyboard sequence, it'll start it immediately.

    Disable CD/DVD-ROM Button

My son tends not only to smash the keyboard, but also to press any other button related to the machine, including the CD-Rom eject button which gives him the new game called "Close the tray while it's being opened" in which he always win :-)

detect when baby is bashing the keyboard

It would be great if the app could run in the background, detect weird chording and then launch - then baby would launch the programme herself

Add app-exit button to the Options screen

For whatever reason Alt-F4 no longer works to exit the application (I think it broke after we upgraded to Windows 7 Beta, but not positive.)

I'd love to see that bug fixed, but I'm sure there are permutations of it, and an app-exit button on the Options screen would be better than Ctrl+Alt+Del... more

Option 2 just disable kb so u can watch movie in background

I can never watch anything on my computer w/o my daughter pressing every key and eventually turning off the movie. So an option to turn off all animation and sound, w/ the transparent background would fix this easily.

    Disable special function keyboard keys

Most new keyboards have special multimedia function keys (to open the web homepage, start music player, calculator etc.). These are still operational and hitting them start all kind of things.

Keyboard softkeys still being passed through

Programmable keys (e.g. those extra buttons that automatically load your web browser, email and the like) are not being completely trapped by Baby Smash. BabySmash still correctly interprets them, however it does not block the commands tied to these keys from firing in the background.

Keep track of Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Insert settings.

When my son finishes playing, I occasionally find myself typing in caps, or find the number pad keys not behaving as I expected. I haven't really confirmed a problem with the Insert key, but I thought I'd mention it just in case. All these keys are basically "settings", so it would be n... more

    Game modes

I like the idea of the "find the key game". But I could also see some additional games for Baby Smash:

    * Singing ABC's - A B C D E ... "can you find the E?" or "can you find the F?" or "what is the next letter?"

    * Numbers game - "Look at all t... more

    Better keyboard lockdown

This isn't quite the same as the comment where the baby was able to exit the application. Instead my son seemed to be able to launch other applications by leaning on and smashing the keyboard of my Dell laptop. Other applications included 6 instances of Baby Smash, two OneNote notes, a OneNote ... more

I cannot end program after using ALT-F4. Can that be helped before I uninstall it all ?

Repeatedly "smashing" same key triggers other software

Some software gets activated when hitting the same key repeatedly, ie. StickyKeys (hit the shift-key 5 times) or Google Desktop search (hit Ctrl twice). Would be nice if these functions somehow got disabled while running Babysmash

    Make text configureable

    Scott,
I am german and so my little one is:) I installed a german voice for text to speach (XP) and the letters as well as the numbers are well spoken. But the shapes arent. I found the configuration file and it would be nice if i could change the text for the shapes.
    PS: She loves it anyway!

"Playtime is over" or "Time for baby smash! to sleep"

My 18mo son LOVES baby smash! so much that it's impossible to get him off. Other than just turning off the machine, the only thing that will get him to stop is to convince him that baby smash! has to take a nap.

I think it would be great if there was an animation similar to the closing sequen... more
