make the option of smaller screen
it would be great if you could make play screen adjustable size, as these days screens are getting bigger & its just not good for bubs eyes... ie: we have just got a new computer & it has a widescreen & babysmash is hUge visually.
it would be possible to put it in the options section wouldnt it?Can you send me a screenshot? You're saying you want the graphics SMALLER or LARGER?

Add support for gamepad input (like the XBox 360 controller)
My daughter likes to play with my XBox 360 controller that I have hooked up to my PC for games. Is there a way to incorporate that as input to BabySmash (like another mouse)?
Hm...maybe I can get any DirectInput device to work, that should include the Xbox controller.

Call SpeechSynthesizer.SpeakAsync instead
Seems like you're calling Speak() currently, so when Baby is mashing the buttons bits of spoken letters surface but sounds like static. Only the last letter is audibly understandable. Perhaps SpeakAsync would be better to use.

name licensing terms
It would also be nice to get some headers on the source files indicating licensing.
Also, more information on the website about contribution licensing requirements if there are any.
Status: plannedRight now it's BSD. http://www.codeplex.com/babysmash/license
I know I need to update the source, but that's enough to start with.

The Alt F4 key combo doesn't work for me. Had to bring up the feedback page, to show the taskbar, then right click to bring up task manager and then kill the process.

Images/sounds when completing words
What I'm looking forward (I'm yet to review the code) is to show some images/sounds when the correct key sequence of a word is pressed. This way my baby can still use it after the "smashing" phase... so it would show a cat and play a "meowww" when C A T is pressed

The nice thing about harmonic table layout is you can get nice sounding western music chords with very small hand just smashing the keys next to each other. The picture of the layout is on c-thru music site.

As I said that the voice in background is very quick and its very hard for toddlers to understand and make out what is said in background... If anything could be done for it... All over the software is what parents could be wishing for their kids...

Option 2 just disable kb so u can watch movie in background
I can never watch anything on my computer w/o my daughter pressing every key and eventually turning off the movie. So an option to turn off all animation and sound, w/ the transparent background would fix this easily.

BabySmash keylock
Lock mouse and keyboard and unlock with a password which might be visible for some time on the screen after pressing alt f4 or similar exit key. Additionally you could add an option to show the characters and shapes transparently.

My wife lets our six months old play with Babysmash on her computer. She wasn't so pleased when suddenly the whole screen flipped up-side-down...

use .wav files instead of electronic speech.
Instead of using electronic voice, have the program access short .wav files. Keep the files short enough to play during the animation.
